Apple-Banana Shake Recipe

Apples and bananas are the two holy grails of healthy eating. In fact, every diet guru, while prescribing fruits, would at one point ask people to have these fruits.

Apples contain high levels of malic acid which is good for the body, and the antioxidants in it are great for the skin and body.

Your bone growth improves with consuming bananas, and the iron deposit in a banana helps boost your metabolism and add more blood to your system.

Both of these fruits are also known to be experts in cleaning out the system, and they act together to keep your system clear. In all, this shake is going to make you very happy, not because it tastes good, but it is actually very good for you.

The addition of flax and chia seeds makes this more fibrous, and also nutritious, and you would love the effect on your body and skin.

After regularly drinking this, many people has seen a distinct change coming on their skin and body, as well as their health. However, as bananas are high in calories, it is advised to not drink this shake more than once a day. But this shake keeps you full for a long time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • ½ cup crushed ice

Procedure:

Core and peel apples and chop into pieces. Peel banana and chop into pieces. Pour the coconut milk in the blender, followed by the apple, banana, chia seeds and flax seeds.

Blend on high for 1-2 minutes, or, until the mixture is very smooth in texture. Add to it a cup of ice and blend thoroughly for 20 seconds more. Pour into individual glasses and serve cold.
