Avocado Papaya Shake Recipe – a perfect drink for a shot of life!

Papayas are amazingly rich in many nutrients, and ripe papayas taste awesome! Add to it the goodness of creamy avocados and you have got yourself a match made in heaven.

A squeeze of lime gives this a rich hit of Vitamin C and together, the three ingredients make a superb shake that is well worth its weight in gold.

Many people mix lime juice and ginger together to take an invigorating shot of energy, but why not add that to this drink and make this more exciting?

This drink is perfect when you want a shot of life added to your system, and this is going to be one of the best things to drink early in the morning or late afternoon.


Vitamin C is really good for your health and it boosts up your metabolism and keeps your gums healthy.


  • 1 ripe papaya (about 1 kilo)
  • 2 avocados (600 gm.)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed ginger
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Crushed ice


Cut the papaya in half, scoop out the seeds and peel off the skin. Cut into small cubes. Cut avocados in half and pit them. Scoop out the flesh and reserve in a bowl. Sprinkle fresh lime juice on it to avoid discoloration. You can directly put them in the blender jar right after the papaya. Add the ginger, salt and blend for 2 minutes or until very smooth. Add crushed ice and blend again for 1 minute. Remove and pour into tall glasses. Serves around three to four people easily.
