Fruit Smoothie With Yogurt

The best thing in the hot summer is a nice cool shake, even better if it is a fruity one and best if it has no sugar. Here are a few recipes to help shake things up.

With this you can essentially take any fruit you want, mix it with a bit of water and throw it in the blender and drink up! The recipes in this particular post contain one vital ingredient – yogurt.

The best thing about eating yogurt is that it contains a very high amount of probiotics which help clean out your stomach and promotes the build-up of good bacteria in your gut. That makes sure that your stomach is not bloated and your body gets a good hit of calcium and other minerals.

If you want something exotic here is a good recipe with yogurt in it. Combine 1/2 of a ripe mango, the pulp of 1 passion fruit, ½ of a pineapple, peeled and cut into chunks, 8-10 lychees (canned if you can’t get fresh ones), ½ cup yogurt and 3-4 ice cubes.  Put in the blender, mix and enjoy.

You can take 8 oz. of plain yogurt (or flavored if you want), 2 small ripe bananas, 1 cup sliced strawberries (or frozen ones, if you want), and 1 cup of fresh berries, such as raspberries, blueberries, and/or blackberries (frozen would also work). Put all the ingredients into your blender and mix until smooth. You can also take 1 avocado, 3/4 cups of orange juice, 3/4 cup of raspberry juice, and 1/2 cup frozen raspberries. Mix all in blender until smooth.

You can also mix together in your blender, 6 strawberries, 1 chopped up banana, 1 tablespoon yogurt (plain flavored, or you can add strawberry or banana flavor, or any other flavor, if you want) and the juice of 1 orange. Mix in the blender and serve.
