The Rerfect Pick-me-up Green Mango Shake Recipe

This mango shake looks green thanks to all the greenery added to it. As ripe mangoes need virtually no sugar to go with it, we add a few healthy things to it. For example, a handful of spinach and mint would not just improve flavors but also give this a much-needed hit of vitamins which is perfect.

Spinach has huge deposits of Vitamin K, which translates into more blood for the system, as well as iron and other minerals for the body, which makes sure that your bones and blood are in perfect condition.

Especially if you are anemic, this shake is going to be the perfect pick-me-up.

A hint of lime juice zings up the flavors perfectly and adds a hit of Vitamin C, which can keep off diseases like scurvy.

That is why, this drink is perfect when you need a lot of vitamins and minerals along with a healthy dose of calories that are good for you. Mangoes are fibrous, so you can enjoy a lot of that in your drink too!

You can have this in the morning or after a workout for an instant pick-me-up. You can also fortify this with protein powder if you like, but we generally omit that for this.


  • 1 cup chopped mangoes, preferably fresh
  • 1 handful baby spinach, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon mint leaves, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon honey (if required, optional)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 cup crushed ice


In the blender, add the mangoes with the mint and spinach and process with a little bit of water for 40 seconds. The mixture would be greenish yellow and pulpy.

Add the lime juice, ice, honey and process for 30 seconds more. Once the mixture is quite pulpy and tasty, pour into individual glasses, and serve cold.
