Three-Berry Shake



Berries are perfect for a shake. There is a very important reason why. Most berries contain high amounts of antioxidants. Antioxidants are the key to faster cell renewal. They are the magical element which can increase your body’s metabolism quotient, which ultimately helps you lose weight faster and more easily.

They make sure you feel much lighter and nicer inside, and also your skin glows with the antioxidants. In this case, we will be choosing any three of the five different types of berries mentioned here. You can also add all the different kinds of berries for extra flavor, or you can stick to only two if you want.

However, this shake is tasty, easy to make and is very refreshing. Plus they are sweet and ridiculously low in calories and contain high amounts of water, which makes them ideal for consumption when you are trying to lose weight. Try one of these shakes early in the morning before you go for a run, or as a midafternoon snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1 cup ice, crushed
  • 1 cup almond or soy milk

Procedure:

In a blender, add any three cups of berries, mixing and matching between the three kinds. Add the soy milk and blend over high till the mixture reaches the desired consistency. Add the ice, whizz for another 30 seconds to let the ice mix in, then pour into individual glasses.

This recipe easily makes 2-3 glasses, so it is advised to drink all of it at one go, or reduce the amount according to a single drinker’s need. You can also add a scoop of protein powder if you want to make this more packed with proteins and substantial for your body.
